Art Blocks Overview
Art Blocks is an innovative platform for generative digital art, founded in 2020 by Erick “Snowfro” Calderon. It allows artists to create and sell algorithmically generated artworks as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
What makes Art Blocks unique is its minting process. Buyers do not know which artwork they will receive upon purchasing an NFT. Instead, the algorithm generates the artwork based on the artist’s specifications.
The platform has three main categories: Curated Collections, which showcase selected works from top artists; Playground, where artists can experiment; and Factory, which supports a wider range of projects.
